During the lockdown of 2020 I used the time to get back to basics and paint some space marines. I honestly do not think there is any easier line of miniatures to practise on!
These were all done with traditional brush work, in the 'eavy metal style. The one (rather large) diversion from the painting guide was the use of a basic NMM rather than metallics.
Overall, I think the impression is more 'illustration' or comic book than gritty and realistic.
Lessons were learnt, experience gained! Currently these are all on eBay, hopefully they pay off!
