I was fortunate that the patron for this commission trusted me to interpret what he wanted. There was a preference for a purple scheme, but after showing some options he opted for this turquoise.
The brief was for a simple, battle ready army. With some simple techniques, and the right tools, this is what was achieved. The OSL on the eyes is achieved with airbrushing white ink around the eyes, followed by Iyanden yellow. A thinned application of Coellia Greenshade in the eye lens defined its edges, followed a white highlight in the centre.
